Jan is an actor and director based in Cape Town who received his education in Advanced Acting for Film from Act Cape Town in 2015.
Following his graduation, Jan has been working as a professional actor and director, showcasing his ability in both local and international projects. He has appeared in both stage and screen productions, with film and television credits including “Cars That Built the World”, “Op Straat” and “ROM Immortal”. On stage, Jan has appeared in “Hel op Hemel en Aarde”, “Family Fees”, “Slagoffers”, “Boekbuddies” and “Hamlet”. He had his directorial debut in 2022 with a stage production of Shakespeare’s Macbeth produced by Educations.
Jan has also spent time behind the camera and backstage as head of wardrobe, continuity supervisor, and technical assistant.
He regularly serves as a judge for local public speaking and debate competitions hosted by ATKV.
